Local People Come Together to Fight for REFORM
Your Local Sutton Coldfield REFORM Executive Committee
We are a team of volunteers, just normal everyday people who felt drawn to help save our town and country from the rapid decline seen under the Tory and Labour governments. Parts of Birmingham we once loved are now no-go areas for many. We don’t want Sutton Coldfield to become the same. You are always welcome to any of our meetings or events – we are a very friendly community-based group who welcome all with open arms.

I’m a very proud Suttonian – what a fantastic asset Sutton Park is. We have some fantastic schools, businesses, and amenities in the local area too, not to mention our fantastic choral society and orchestra. That said, I have sadly seen a decline in the area since my childhood (I’m north of 40!) – particularly in our town centre, roads, and crime levels.
Birmingham City Council simply sees us as a cash cow – its financial situation negatively impacts us (e.g., threats to charge for parking in the area). We pay a fortune in council tax while the provision of services diminishes. I’m concerned about the closure of our police station. Our MP has done little for the area in 20 years aside from photo opportunities! I want an MP who lives in Sutton and knows the local issues faced by residents.

Among my most fulfilling roles was my time as a legal secretary in litigation and my work with Waterloo Housing, a local social housing provider, where I learned excellence and community engagement.
I have dedicated myself to giving back to my community in Sutton Coldfield, where I have lived for the past 34 years. I have been engaged in establishing and supporting food banks, using my skills and expertise to foster community spirit and support local initiatives.
I resonate with Nigel Farage's acknowledgment of our nation's Judeo-Christian heritage, which aligns with my own beliefs. I detest injustice in any form. The betrayal by the previous government led me to join and volunteer with Reform UK, to fight for the return of justice and preserve the freedoms that define our nation, and to honour the legacy of those who fought for freedom, ensuring that their sacrifices are remembered and that the values of sovereignty and justice are upheld for future generations.

I’ve lived in Sutton Coldfield for 21 years and love the area, the park, and the people. But I’m frustrated by its neglect compared to Solihull, broken promises from Andrew Mitchell, and Birmingham’s bankrupt Labour council trying to sell off our town’s assets and charge for park entry.
I’m not naturally political, but Covid opened my eyes to the fear tactics used to manipulate the public, creating anxiety and harm. Both Labour and the Conservatives have lost their way—Reform offers common sense, fairness, and a path to recovery through inspiration, not punishment.
Alex Williams (Much Older Now!)
I’m Alex Mole-Williams, an online tutor and author of the book The Secret Spell to Spelling. (That’s me seven years ago.)
I’ve lived in Sutton Coldfield all my life and therefore have a special bond with the town.
I attended Hill West Primary and Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School, and I am part of the so-called ‘Covid’ generation. I took my GCSEs during Covid and felt the firsthand effect of the nanny state policy controls. I feel the world is less social, more compliant, and crucially, less creative.
This is where Reform comes in, as I believe the party stands for individuality, creativity, and freedom. I am worried for my future and the future of Sutton. How am I meant to own a home when our town and country continue to be ruined by Labour and the Tories? We’ve all seen the damage they’ve done.
I’m enthusiastic about Reform’s policies. I want to keep my earnings and focus on the issues that matter, not on unhelpful identity politics promoted by the other parties and the media.
Sutton is broken. Sutton needs Reform.
Melissa Sweet
My name is Melissa Sweet.
Since I was a small child, I have always lived on the very border of Sutton Coldfield, with Sutton Park being my back garden. I have a great love for Sutton Park, Sutton Town Centre, and the Leisure Centre. These were places my friends and I would visit daily as children. One of my children attended The Streetly School.
I feel the country is on a very slippery slope due to years of mismanagement, high taxes, poor public services, and mass immigration. After years of failure from the Conservatives and now Labour, we are reaching a point of no return unless another party is elected imminently. Reform UK has a different vision—one that respects and upholds democracy, which I fear is currently at risk. Reform is the first party to work for the people, not against them. More of the public are now turning to politics, having not done so previously, because they see that Reform gives the UK a chance of survival.

The UK is in decline. The rapid change since Tony Blair opened the borders has been immense and negative. I expected Labour to ruin the country—they seem to have a hatred for anything British, success-related, or wealth-creating, always desiring to drag everything and everyone to the bottom. Their politics of anti-British hatred and envy is disgusting but not unexpected.
Then came the Conservatives, whom I voted for—a party that is supposed to stand for Britain and British values. Yet, it turned out they were as useful as a chocolate fireguard. They oversaw the hardest erosion of British culture and society in my lifetime. They failed to stop illegal manufactured asylum seekers, allowed toxic cultures and ghettos to develop, and almost bankrupted Britain.
And now, the far left, led by Comrade Starmer, appears to have little care for British people, whether they are the elderly, victims of grooming and abuse, or those murdered on our streets.
Behind them all is a civil service and system so broken that it is like an infection in what is left of Britain. Between them all, they have almost brought the country I love to its knees—we have little time left to stop this rot.
Reform is the only option left, the last hope. Mark and the Reform volunteer executive committee are wonderful local Sutton people, and I would highly recommend that before you judge, you come along, meet them, and judge for yourself.
The establishment is in it for itself. We are in it for Sutton Coldfield and the country.

As a committed member of the Sutton Coldfield community, I am passionate about our local area, its people and businesses. I have run successful businesses and done business across the globe but believe the UK is the best place to do business under the right Government.
I have been involved in the Sutton Coldfield REFORM UK movement since we first started and campaigned hard with Mark in the last election.
I am extremely positive and pragmatic person who wants to save and return the UK back to the right path of British Christian values. Please get involved with our movement, we have hundreds of members in Sutton Coldfield and our get togethers bring hope and optimism to what can seem like a very gloomy picture.
I look Forward to seeing you at one of our meets, your support and donations are very much appreciated.
